A child plays
a vital role in completing and modeling the society. But to see them suffer
today, no questions their platform for tomorrow.
The 2019 NCM
aims to celebrate the gains and successes of the Philippines in the promotion
and protection of children’s rights. Specifically, it aims to:
1. Intensify public awareness on the
rights of children and remind all sectors of the community and society to be
responsible in raising-up the Filipino child to become a well-rounded person
and to protect her/him at all cost, as enshrined in the UN CRC.
2. Promote further the
institutionalization of a child-friendly environment and governance by
promoting implementation and monitoring of CRC at all levels.
3. Provide a platform for discourse on
newly-enacted landmark legislations and persistent issues pertaining to
children’s rights to survival, development, protection and participation.
4. Empower children as rights-holders and
duty-bearers to deliver commitment to promote, protect and fulfill rights of
children.
There has never
been a more important time to educate and empower the next generation with
knowledge about their rights. Take note that children are not just simply
children or numerous human being, but they are the world’s cure, they are the
fruit of the future, and who knows that this little people of today would
probably the heroes of tomorrow. That is why the act of simply depriving them
of their rights is now shading little by little the bright future of our own
world.
Children are
not results of emotional gratification.
For a new
offspring to explore the world means a new hope was born. People or adult
specifically needs to take note how big the responsibility are within their
hands. To see children suffer as soon as they were born aren’t there meant.
They are meant to live, they are meant to fulfill their rights.
“We worry
about what a child will become tomorrow, yet we forget that he is someone
today.” — Stacia Tauscher
