Vigan: Home of Unified Cultures

We all know that our country, the Philippines, is very rich, culturally speaking. In every corner of the country, different traditions and beliefs can be discovered. Lying on the northern part of the country is a very rich city, the Heritage City of Vigan. Known as one of the new seven wonder cities of the world. And most of all, a city with cultural diversity.

With this, the city conducts the annually World Heritage Cities Solidarity Cultural Festival every month of September. This festivity aims to strengthen the pride in the city’s history and culture, promote friendship and diversity between countries and serves as a great venue for forging ties and understanding through the community’s involvement in the city’s various activities that highlight the love for culture, arts, and entertainment.

Vigan City proves that unity between people with diversity is as important as the unity among the Biguenos. Vigan's door won't only open you to delightful Ilocanos, but doors for different nationalities are also greatly accepted. In fact, one of the festivity's activities is the solidarity day among Indian and Chinese nationalities but now considered as friends.

Activities in this festivity include; Alay Lakad, Historia Oral, Folk dance competition, Cultural show, and many more.

Filipino's hospitality truly marks to its people. As folkmen of Vigan City do not only live cultures with solidarity but also showcase a majestic way of living in a community, with unity.
