A good teacher can teach you
something that you will remember for a day, but a great teacher will teach you
something that you will remember for the rest of your life. Teachers are much
like a second parent, and you could say that they spend just as much, if not
more time each day, with a child than parents do. They help mold and shape a
child’s personality, and often their future. They can teach you the importance
of trust and be trustworthy.
Living with today’s lifestyle,
students now tend to be bored in class, in short, most students are now not
into education or learning that much. But this doesn’t stop teachers from living
their responsibilities. If a child cannot learn how the teachers teach,
then they adjust in a way on how the child can learn. With that being said,
this simple act of sacrificing now reveals how dedicated to not just their
work, but with there passion.
With all their sacrifices, a time
for them to relax is just right. Celebrating Teacher’s Day for me is very
significant considering how they create impacts on our lives.
Here at Ilocos Sur National High
School, a program for teachers was conducted. Raffles, plays, and
entertainments made their day full of smiles. Seeing them laughing and smiling
even once shows how they ran off from stress. After the program, teachers were
given more pleasures as there respective students dedicated them surprises with
uniqueness. A concert highlighting teachers followed in the afternoon.
But keep in mind that Teacher’s day
should not only be the day wherein we let our teachers feel their significance
in our lives, but we should lend them this feeling all the time. No matter
how successful you are in the future, they are still apart. No matter how many
people are successful now, their foundation includes teachers.
A teacher is not just simply a
teacher, but a teacher is a friend, parent, a teacher takes a hand, opens a
mind, and most of all, touch the student’s hearts.
